Assessments Offered on Campus

At Lake Weir High School, we administer a wide range of state and national assessments to support student success and ensure graduation requirements are met. Assessments include:

State Assessments

  • FAST ELA – Florida Assessment of Student Thinking in English Language Arts

  • B.E.S.T. Algebra 1 & Geometry EOC – End-of-Course exams aligned to Florida’s B.E.S.T. standards

  • Biology EOC – End-of-Course exam measuring knowledge of Biology content

  • U.S. History EOC – End-of-Course exam assessing understanding of U.S. History standards

  • FCLE (Florida Civic Literacy Exam) – Assesses understanding of civic literacy for high school and postsecondary readiness

  • B.E.S.T. Writing – Writing assessment aligned with Florida’s B.E.S.T. standards

College and Career Readiness Assessments

  • ACT – National college admissions and concordant score exam

  • CLT (Classic Learning Test) – College admissions and concordant score exam 

  • SAT – National college admissions and concordant score exam

  • PSAT 8/9 – Practice exam for early college readiness

  • PSAT/NMSQT – Qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship and college readiness

  • PERT (Postsecondary Education Readiness Test) – Placement test for college readiness in math, reading, and writing
